These Terms and Conditions govern your use of extensions.thedesigncompany.co.nz (the "Site") and any extensions or services offered by The Design Company ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site or downloading any extension, you agree to these terms.

2. Free Extensions
Free extensions are released under the GNU General Public License version 2 or later (GPL-2.0+). Use, modification, and redistribution are governed by the terms of that licence. See our Licence page for details.
Free extensions are provided as-is, without warranty. We make reasonable efforts to ensure they function correctly with current Joomla versions but cannot guarantee compatibility with every hosting environment or third-party extension.
3. Pro Subscriptions
3.1 What you get
A Pro subscription gives you access to Pro-only releases for the subscribed extension, authenticated automatic updates via the Joomla Update Manager, and priority support, for the duration of your subscription.
3.2 Payment
Pro subscriptions are billed annually. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
3.3 Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will receive a reminder email before renewal. You may cancel at any time through your account page or by contacting us — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will not be charged again.
3.4 Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we will notify you by email. Access to Pro releases may be suspended until payment is resolved. Stripe will retry the payment automatically for a short period.
3.5 Licence keys
A licence key is issued when your subscription is activated. It is personal and non-transferable. Do not share your licence key publicly. If your key is compromised, contact us and we will reissue it.
4. Accounts
You must create an account to download extensions or purchase a Pro subscription. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Redistribute Pro releases or share your licence key.
- Use the Site or extensions in a way that violates any applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or abuse the authentication or licensing system.
- Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Site.
6. Intellectual Property
Free extensions are GPL-licensed — their source code is yours to use and modify within the terms of that licence. Pro extension code, documentation, and all other site content remain the property of The Design Company. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Design Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or any extension. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
